Pull Up is a well known compound exercise for training back. It mostly targets Latissimus Dorsi (Lats) but some other back muscles and biceps are also training. Since it only needs fixed bar (or pull up bar), you may perform that exercise at home or outdoor. I am putting together a calisthenics training area in my yard and I want the same level of sturdiness, weatherproof quality and durability as the pull up bars, dip stations and monkey bars in the public parks of NY/NJ because I am already a weightlifter/power lifter and not wasting money on door jamb pull up bars and things that won’t support 300lbs + on a daily basis. And if I can avoid it, I’d rather not have to guy all the steel and have it welded independently because I can imagine that may be expensive.

these bars are used for pull ups.other equipments for increasing height can be stated also..

My room is in the basement and I have a ton of space but there’s no door way except at the top of the stairs and that wouldn’t be safe. What alternatives do I have? Are there affordable pull up bars that stand up from the floor?

Several options for making your own chin-up bar at home.

I need to get a pull up bar at home, I’ve seen those which you mount onto the door frames, but my door frames only stick out 0.5cm, and I doubt those will be able to stay up there. I’ve also heard that they have those which are nailed onto the walls but I’d prefer to keep my walls as they are. Are there any other types of pull-up bars or will the removable ones fit on my door frame?
