I don’t want to buy them. Can’t I just skip that section altogether or sub in pull up bars for weights?

Why are pull ups and push ups used as strength tests instead of the common, dead lift, squat, and bench press? Why did the military decide that pull ups and push ups are better?

Getting a pull up bar is not a problem for me. The problem is that my door frames are non-existent, so I have no where to put it.
I can’t do a single pull-up, but I would like to be able to do a few pull ups within a month. Does anyone recommend any workouts for me? I have a resistance band and I know I should probably start working on doing push-ups.

I’ll be getting the dvds soon in the mail, but i heard that it requires pull ups. I have a pull up bar that sticks to the door frame, but i don’t have any doors in my living room where i’ll be playing the dvd. Any advice?

I know the wide pull up with palms out, and chin ups with palms in a hands shoulder width apart. Are there any others? And what muscles do they all work?

I raised him up to a pull up bar that hangs in a door way, he grabbed a hold and I could let go & he could support his weight. Is that normal for his age?

I’m gonna start running and eating healthy. Someone told me I will burn more calories if I lift weights and run. I was gonna try pull up bar excercises. Would I see a difference doing this and running rather than just running? What do you thinkk?

I want to make my arms and chest bigger. I just got a pull up bar and a resistance band. How many days per week should I do pull ups? How many pulls ups / chin ups should I do each of those days?
By how many a day, I mean literally how many. So "two times a day," as someone said means two different times in the day. But how many pull ups / chin ups in those periods? Obviously I want to do more then 2 pull ups a day lol.
